LEADER Katrina Wilhelm DESCRIPTION

We have an excellent opportunity to volunteer with children with special needs during May on First Saturday SERVE Day, as they participate in baseball – the featured sport for this season. Buddy Sports are non-competitive recreational leagues designed for boys and girls with disabilities. Each player is paired with a ‘buddy’ who offers support as needed, creating an inclusive environment where friendships can form, the children can have fun, and get exercise. These leagues give children the chance to learn the basics of baseball and enjoy the teamwork and camaraderie that come with it. It's an incredible opportunity for kids to develop new skills, build confidence, and have fun in a supportive and encouraging setting. We need 15-20 volunteers to assist with this event. Volunteers must be 13 years old or older. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Come be a part of this meaningful experience and make a difference in the lives of these children!"
